What I Learned at High Point Market Fall 2025 Interior Design Trends and Insights

High Point Market is the largest home furnishings show in the world and it’s truly Disney World for Interior Designers. High point market is when designers, retailers, and manufacturers gather in one town to explore new products, attend educational events, and connect with design professionals from across the country. As a Tampa Bay based Interior Designer and business owner, I make it a priority to attend this event every year to test furniture in person, discover innovative brands, and stay inspired for future projects.

Game Tables Are Back in Style
One trend that stood out at High Point Market this year was the resurgence of game tables. From poker and chess tables to multifunctional designs for family gatherings, these pieces were showcased in many showrooms. They were often shown in deep, rich wood tones. A game table can instantly elevate a game room, loft, or secondary living space, creating a warm and inviting area for family and friends to gather. If you have ever dreamed of adding a game room to your home, now is the perfect time to make it happen.

Brown Is the New Neutral
For the past several years, gray dominated the design world. But that era is officially over and brown is back. From deep chocolate colored sofas to walnut coffee tables and cognac-toned leather chairs,
brown furniture pieces were everywhere at Market. These hues bring warmth and sophistication to a space, making it feel grounded and timeless. Whether you are updating your living room or designing a new build, adding a touch of brown can make a bold statement and create a sense of luxury.
Why Quality Furniture Matters

Another highlight of my trip was touring a U.S. furniture factory that produces handcrafted upholstered furniture. Watching skilled artisans build each piece reinforced the importance of quality custom furniture pieces. Investing in well made furniture means that you are purchasing pieces that will last for
decades, not just a few years. These are heirloom items that tell your story and bring authenticity to your home.
As an Interior Designer, I always emphasize that furniture isn’t just about aesthetics, it’s about value. Well constructed furniture pieces save you money over time and reduce waste by lasting much longer than mass-produced alternatives.
